I interviewed Jeff Richman recently for Abstract Logix regarding his great new album The Line Up, which he recorded with his Chatterbox band (Dean Taba - bass, Joel Taylor - drums, and Mitch Forman - keyboards). Check it out at ALBX or via the link below.

Caught the Aristocrats show at Martyrs' in Chicago last night. This was easily one of the most enjoyable gigs I've seen in some time. This amazing trio - Guthrie Govan on guitar, Bryan Beller on Bass, and Marco Minnemann on drums - was on fire on every tune. I was particularly impressed with the way the songs from their debut album really came alive onstage. Guthrie and Bryan were simply jaw-dropping, as was Marco who delivered the most entertaining drum solo I've yet witnessed. I also had the pleasure of interviewing Guthrie prior to the show (great guy!) - look for it on these pages soon. See the link below for my pics of this fantastic show.
Saw OHMphrey at the Park West in Chicago last night (feat Chris Poland (guitar) and Robertino "Pag" Pagliari (bass) from OHM, and Jake Cinninger (guitar), Joel Cummins (keys), and Kris Myers (drums) from Umphrey's McGee). Killer show. Their new material is seriously grooving; can't wait for the new album to come out. See link below for a gallery of my pics.
A conglomeration of footage from the recent Aristocrats show at Club Soda in Montreal. Guthrie Govan - guitar, Bryan Beller - bass, Marco Minnemann - drums.
Saw the killer trio of Scott Henderson (guitar), Jeff Berlin (bass) and Mike Clark (drums) Sunday night at Martyrs' in Chicago. Such a great gig. These guys played some amazing jazz and fusion, and were hilarious to boot (The great Chicago-based fusion band Marbin opened up, and were awesome as well). Follow the link below to see my photos from this great show. Most didn't turn out so hot, but I know photographer Alex Kluft was in attendance taking pics as well; I'll post a link to those photos when Alex puts them up.
