Wow. Very sad news to report today. Guitar legend Gary Moore, one of my personal favorite rock players of all time, passed away in his sleep today in Spain. Moore was a huge influence on my own playing. I loved his uber-aggressive style, especially during the Corridors of Power / Victims of the Future era of his career. I remember being blown away when he essentially re-invented himself from a Euro-Metal player to a searing blues musician with 1990's Still Got The Blues. Truly a great player; he will be sorely missed.
A brilliant musician. One of the only guitarists I can think of who was a master of two kinds of music. I will truly miss him. He was a big reason I switched from air guitar to attempting the real thing when I was a teenager
