Videos: Gannin Arnold, Simon Phillips and Jeff Berlin: Live at Durty Nellie's - April 13th 2010
Guitarist Gannin Arnold, drummer Simon Phillips and bassist Jeff Berlin played a cool one-off gig at Durty Nellie's in Palatine IL last night, and I was one of the lucky ones in attendance. What a great show! Gannin was really impressive, and had a killer tone. And to see two legends like Phillips and Berlin so close to home was a real treat. They played a few tunes off Gannin's album Not From Here, along with some fusion classics. Here are three videos I shot at the gig; I'll post my pics either tonight or tomorrow.
"Stratus"
"Cissy Strut"
"Fred"

Here's the most amazing thing about this gig: it is the VERY first time these three have played together ---- aside from, like, one rehearsal ---- EVER. Can y'all dig THAT, mah babies???
