This should be pretty cool. Larry Carlton has a new live album coming out with special guest Robben Ford. It's a Japanese import; not sure if it will be released in the US. There's also a video online from this show, which is apparently from a forthcoming DVD.
Larry Carlton may be my favorite guitarist. I picked a CD titled "Fine Wine" a couple of weeks back. It's fairly rockish--almost metal in some places--which is not necessarily bad, but a little surprising. He still plays the hell out of the guitar.

This was a long time coming! Carlton was asked in a 70's interview about which guitarist he'd most like to record with-- he answered Robben Ford. That was back in the day when Carlton, Ford and Ritenour were all playing 335's.
Wonder why they waited so long...
