ESP Guitars’ Clinician Prashant Aswani is appearing at Frontrunner 2008 in Melbourne Australia.  Prashant will be performing 8 clinics showing new ESP product.  In addition to his clinics, Prashant will be performing with Australia’s number one guitarist Brett Garsed.  

Prashant has recently finished producing George Lynch’s Instructional DVD’s for Hal Leonard entitled, “Wicked Riffs” and “Scary Licks” .  In addition Prashant’s new album “Grey Matter” will be released in September 2008.

Brett Garsed to give clinic in Canberra Australia on Aug 27th

One of Australia’s finest musical exports, guitarist Brett Garsed, is appearing with his band live in Canberra.

Brett made his name in Australia with his work with John Farnham, but an extended stint in the competitive LA music scene made Brett respected world-wide for his flawless technique and landmark rock fusion albums such as Quid Pro Quo (with Chicago-born guitarist TJ Helmerich), Uncle Moe's Space Ranch (with TJ Helmerich, Gary Willis, Dennis Chambers and Scott Kinsey), Planet X (with Derek Sherinian) and his solo album Big Sky.

Brett is an endorser of ESP guitars and Hughes & Kettner amplifiers and will be putting the gear through its paces in a set with a first class band that includes Farnham alumni Craig Newman on bass, Stuart Fraser on guitar and Angus Burchall on drums. A Q&A segment will also see Brett sharing his immense industry and musical knowledge.

Richard Hallebeek to appear at Emmen Blues & Jazz Festival

At long last, an update from Netherlands-based fusion guitarist Richard Hallebeek. Hallebeek will be playing at the Blues & Jazz Festival in Emmen on May 30th at The Brasserie with the One Spirit Quartet (Lale Larsson - keys, Bas Cornelissen - drums, and Frans Vollink - bass). Jeff Kollman updates

Several updates today regarding guitarist Jeff Kollman:

- Kollman's heavy fusion band Cosmosquad has been confirmed for the Nov 15th Fender Bass Bash. This special invite-only event will take place at Center Staging in Burbank, CA and will be hosted online by www.rehearsals.com.

- Cosmosquad also has a gig on Nov 16th at the Baked Potato, and will be releasing a DVD next year of their recent performance at Musician's Institute.

- Kollman has a new instrumental band as well featuring drummer Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Glenn Hughes), bassist Kevin Chown (Edwin Dare, Uncle Cracker), and keyboardist Ed Roth (Glenn Hughes, Impellitteri). The as-yet unnamed band has already recorded an album to be released in 2008.

- Kollman will also be giving a series of clinics in South East Asia (sponsored by Fender), followed by a solo gig at the Baked Potato on Dec 21st with Christopher Maloney on bass and Glen Sobel on drums. Clinic dates and locations are below:
