In other "postponed" news - the planned CAB December tour of India has been postponed. The band will still play the Baked Potato on Nov 30th & Dec 1st however. CAB is bassist Bunny Brunel's fusion band featuring Virgil Donati on drums, Tony MacAlpine on guitar, and (in the band's current form) Mitch Foreman on keys.
Eddie Jobson's new band UKZ has postponed their planned Jan 25th 2008 debut concert, citing labor disputes and a revised recording schedule.
Jobson:
"With the escalating union strikes, Los Angeles is a precarious place to stage a major event right now, there is a ripple effect that impacts the whole community. Furthermore, the album is still a few months away from release and we decided it would be better if more people knew our music ahead of time. Both issues have factored into the decision."
UKZ features Jobson on keyboards, Trey Gunn on the Warr guitar, Marco Minnemann on drums, Alex Machacek on guitar, and Aaron Lippert on vocals.
Brazillian guitarist Sergio "SERJ" Buss has posted two full length tracks from his latest album Liquid Piece Of Me on his MySpace page. Jason from the Atomic Guitarist blog has launched the Guitar Blogs Discovery Project. It's a simple yet good idea - to create a "web ring" of guitar blogs to help other like-minded guitar geeks discover new sites, and to spread some linkage love. If you run a guitar blog and would like to participate, simply copy the list of links below, add your link to it, and create a new post about the project. Great idea Jason!

This show has been floating around as a bootleg for some time (don't ask me how I know), but a 1978 live recording of the iconic prog-rock band UK will get an official CD release in December. Recorded on 9/11/78 in Boston, the band features Allan Holdsworth on guitar; John Wetton on vocals and bass; Eddie Jobson on violin, keys, and electronics; and Bill Bruford on drums and percussion.
Somehow I missed this, but on 11/12 a new Steve Morse "Ask Steve" post went up on the official Deep Purple website.
