Saw this on Abstract Logix: Sony will release "The Essential John McLaughlin" on June 26. This 2-CD set includes highlights from the jazz guitar legend's entire career. This looks like a great release, I'll definitely be picking this one up.

I have the album he did with Carlos Santana on vinyl. I wonder if any of that will wind up on this retrospective. There's a really sick cover of A Love Supreme on there.
