There's a cool interview with guitarist Chris Poland and his fusion trio OHM over at Abstract Logix.
The Guitar Channel stream is back up.
The Guitar Channel stream is currently down. My internet connection is being flooded today by an IP address from Ottawa Canada. The traffic is coming from 192.234.223.100. I kicked this IP off the Guitar Channel stream around 1:30pm central time today when I saw it had been connected for close to 8 hours straight. I just can't afford to have people connected for that long when I only have 3 slots available. When I do this, I usually unban the IP in a day or so. Anyway, now I can't start the stream up without being flooded with requests from this IP. Granted, an initial request technically counts as download (inbound) traffic for me, whereas an IP that's actually connected to the stream is using my upload (outbound) bandwidth. Regardless, if I run the SHOUTcast server now, my overall internet connection slows down because this person finds it even if I change IP's (yes I tried that). They find it because no-ip.com redirects traffic to me regardless of my IP address (this allows people to find my stream at all times even though I don't have a static IP). The stream will be down indefinitely while I work on this and other maintenance.

According to the December Audiophile Imports
newsletter, Greg Howe will be touring in February with Stu Hamm and Dennis
Chambers. The dates are mostly on the east coast, but there are dates listed for Chicago and Milwaukee as well. The venues are
not finalized. Looks like this is very preliminary. Here is a link I found to the booking agency showing
availablilities:

If I learn more, I'll post an update...
12/13/05 UPDATE: There is a posting on Greg Howe's forums stating this tour will not come to pass due to scheduling conflicts. Booo!
iPlayMusic today announced that it will make a series of 35 beginner guitar video lessons available free to iTunes users. All 35 lessons can be downloaded and played in iTunes and on video iPods.
